Nutrition  Services

Nutrition is a vital part of a child's development.  We place great emphasis on the nutritional well being of each child.  Breakfast will be served between 8:00 and 8:30 a.m. daily.  We do not encourage bringing your own due to other children being present.  Lunch will be served between 11:30 and 12:00. 

We will be serving meals which meet all recommended daily allowances for each age (See sample menus below).   A mid-morning snack will be served and will generally consist of fresh fruit.  An afternoon snack will also be served and will consist of a fruit or bread or vegetable item.   Occasional cooking experiences will also allow the children to create their own snacks.  There will be weekly menus so that families can coordinate meals around what the Center will be serving.

If your child has any food allergies, this will need to be stated on the enrollment form and must be brought to the teacher's attention.  It will be the parent's responsibility to provide a food substitute if we are serving a meal in question.  We will occasionally request that you bring a sack lunch, due to field trips.  Food items should not be brought to the Center unless you have permission from the teacher.
